Comments after the first session:
“Surprising how much it makes you use your muscles.”
“It takes a bit of effort to be honest.”
“The fun part of it makes it less monotonous.”
“All the games have been a decent work out to be honest.”
Comments after the fourth session:
“’I’m really happy with my left arm at the moment. I am incorporating it into what I am doing with my right arm and using it to push up off the toilet.
Alan reports his arm “feels much stronger.” And my “elbow isn’t locking out anymore”
Notes from the therapist:
Alans movement now looks more natural and he is learning to connect length in trunk with reach in the arm. He reports that after each session he feels that he has had a good work out in his left arm he has carry over of improved movement for several days afterwards. The ArmMotus games makes upper limb rehabilitation very engaging and motivating. It has helped him find a more normal pattern of movement in his arm.
The ability to collect outcome measures for active range of movement and motor coordination is very beneficial.
The red line Red line shows the amount of active movement AL was able to complete at his first session and the blue line shows the improved active movement after 4 sessions.
